Tevita Havea

Tongan born Tevita Havea’s outstanding works have been recognised internationally on many levels throughout the world. Tevita was awarded the prestigious award International New Talent 2009 by Urban Glass New York.

He successfully combines the skills of his ancestors by relating the primitive with the very contemporary use of glass as a sculptural medium.

“I am part of an old culture full of myths but I live in a modern world full of contradictions.”

His work has being acquired by major collections such as Corning Museum of Glass USA and the Victoria & Albert Museum London. He also has been a finalist multiple times in the Ranamok Glass Prize.
