Mark Eliott

Mark was born in New Zealand. His initial introduction was with flame worker Peter Minson. His formal studies in glass followed much when he studied at Sydney College of the Arts where he attained a Master of Visual Arts.

He has studied Jazz at Sydney’s Conservatorium and his current work in borosilicate flame-work sculpture often combines both of these highly developed skills.

His specialization is pioneering glass animation and has recently produced a short film, “Dr. Mermaid and the Above Marine”, which was voted people’s choice at the Underground Film Festival. Mark has also been a multiple finalist in the Ranamok Glass Prize.
